Winemakers Dinner 29/8
You start the evening’s with a spectacular food and drink experience on our Veranda, with a glass of wine in your hand.
Sink into one of the porch’s armchairs and enjoy the story behind the Vietti winery. The export manager of Vietti Urs Vetter takes you through from the cellar to the vines.
The kitchen team works with local ingredients and great creativity in an uncomplicated and obvious way. The ingredients are seasonal and fish and seafood is a given.
The difference between this evening and our gourmet evenings is that here chef Markus and Restaurant Manager Sabina have tasted the wines and put food after the wines. Wine is in focus this evening.
You will sleep tight our Carpe Diem beds, and enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet the next day.
At the top around the village of Castiglione Faletto, in the heart of the beautiful hills of langhes lies the famous wine estate Vietti. The property was founded in the late 1800s and today the descendant Luca Currado Vietti together with his wife Elena put down great love and commitment to creating some of the region’s top wines. The property is particularly famous for its solid range of high-class Cru locations, both for nebbiolo and barbera, but they also produce white wines from domestic grape varieties Arneis and Timorasso as well as the sweet wines Moscato d’Asti.
