The first thing that strikes you is Gullmarsstrand’s unique location by the sea, in the strait between the North Sea and Gullmarn, Sweden’s only threshold fjord. Here, there’s a sense of absolute calm and absolute presence. The hotel has grown slowly but surely over more than 40 years with aesthetics and quality as strongly present driving forces.

Gullmarsstrand and its surroundings await both small and big adventures and experiences. Here, it’s just as good to “just be” and enjoy the tranquility and sea view, or engage in activities such as kayaking, climbing, a lovely walk, or a boat trip.
SALT WATER BATHS – SAUNA – POOL
Fiskebäckskil is one of the West Coast’s classic bathing resorts. We continue the tradition in a refined version of the late 19th century’s cold bath house. In our spa, which is divided into two sections, there’s everything for relaxation and well-being. In Sinnenas Havsbad (The Sea Bath of Senses), you can enjoy sauna rooms, relaxation areas, and outdoor pools that float on stilts in the sea and maintain 38°C all year round. In Sinnenas Relax (The Relaxation of Senses), you enjoy an indoor pool and traditional sauna. Only a glass wall separates the section from the pier and the sea.
We can also offer wonderful spa treatments and for those who wish to exercise – a gym with Bohuslän’s bluest view!
FISKEBÄCKSKIL
In this picturesque little community, you can still feel the presence of shipping and weather-beaten skippers. A walk to admire the beautiful old captains’ houses is recommended. Fiskebäckskil is drama and softness in beautiful harmony. It has inspired many artists past and present. One of the more renowned is Carl Wilhelmson. When you’re here, you can’t help but take Fiskebäckskil to your heart.

Our kitchen creates various menus, naturally based largely on the sea’s delicacies and seasonal ingredients. Guests usually linger long at the table and enjoy. The view contributes. The kitchen is certified by the regional organization “Taste of West Sweden”. We are convinced that you will notice this commitment in the food we serve, in the service and care we give you as a guest.
